Augusto Pinochet, dictator of Chile from 1973 to 1990, died 10 December, 2006, a day observed throughout the world as International Human Rights Day.
For the Argentinian desaparecidos, this might be, in a lot of ways,
the best form of retribution fate might hand to the man who
presided over Argentina’s ”Dirty War,” a man who will go down in
history being credited with the quote “Human Rights? Those are just the
invention of the Marxists.”
